With almost 200 in attendance, the event raised over $110,000 for pediatric brain cancer research.
This is our biggest fundraiser to date.
Check out Lila ringing the completion of treatment bell at the hospital on March 1st. She recently wrapped up two years on a trial drug which she took twice a day at home. This is a big milestone. She rang the bell not only for herself but for all children with cancer. Her next MRI will be in 3 months. If we could all be as courageous and joyful as she is, the world would be a better place.
The Lilabean Foundation for Pediatric Brain Cancer Research (LBF) was founded in 2011 to help save the lives of the 4,000 children a year who are diagnosed with pediatric brain cancer.
LBF looks to help identify and fund projects at the Brain Tumor Institute (BTI) at Children’s National Medical Center; and eventually at similar institutions around the country that are dedicated to finding more effective and less harmful therapies for pediatric brain cancer.
Thanks to our generous supporters, since The Lilabean Foundation began fundraising in 2012, we have raised over $410,000 all of which has been donated to The Brain Tumor Institute at Children’s National Medical Center.
